Surely. In Arena, you are your char and are sent out to retrieve these eight pieces of a staff, which are spread in all the provinces of Tamriel. You need the pieces because the royal battlemage used it to send the emperor into another dimension and then assumed the throne. Battlespire I know little about. There is a battlespire(nah, really?) that has suddenly been cut off from the outside. You are sent in(magically) to restore the spire. Redguard is quite simple. You play as a redguard named Cyrus (yes, you don't get to make your char) and you have to do something or another and then you start a revolution. I myself can't vote, because I haven't played Battlespire, and I can't decide between Redguard and Arena.

Correct me if I'm wrong Drizzt, but in Arena you have a massive open world, and there's a great amount of character customization, but most of the world is just randomly generated, and thusly, most of it feels rather unauthentic and repitive.
Battlespire was a pure hack and slash game. Apparently it wasn't very good. It had nearly no story, no roleplaying, and was originally supposed to be an expansion of Daggerfall. Doesn't reflect too well on it, does it?
Redguard has the greatest amount of depth and detail of all the elder scrolls games, because unlike earlier ones, and later morrowind, it was a rather small world, with just a few NPC's, all of which were highly detailed, and unlike NPCs in other ES games seemed to have solid personalities, but Redguard didn't involve any roleplaying, per se, was a rather linear game as far as ES games go, and there was no room for character customization.

And something else that was interesting about Redguard is that unlike the other ES games , Redguard was based on the history and lore mentioned in earlier games, as it centers around the Restless league, the group of Redguards that convinced Hammerfall to rise up against the empire and force it to offer them terms of aqquisition of Hammerfall that were favourable to the Redguards, giving them the most autonomy of all of the provinces. It also included the Pocket Guide to the Empire, which, alhough somewhat dated, is still the definative general guide to the entirety of the empire.
You know, comparing Arena and redguard doesn't really make much sense, because they are nearly polar opposites as far as gameplay goes.

Never played any of them. I downloaded Arena, but haven't gotten around to playing it much, and it's still running slow(Drizzt, I don't know how you managed to get it to run by itself, but without the emulator I can't even get past the prompt window). I probably know enough about the games to make an educated guess at it though...

I liked Battlespire the most because it was in depth (enough for me) and it had wonderful scenery and NPCs. T, it just works for me. I have Alienware and it rules.

So you've played? I assumed from your statement: "Battlespire I know little about", that you hadn't played...

My friend Devon has Battlespire Redguard and Daggerfall. I just went over and played it. No, I'm not finished, but it seems the best of the three so far.
