Trial of Mysterious Murder Begins

Today, the three murder suspects; Captain Velos Dranus, Hevrani Berass and Felix Vereth were taken to court today. The three are suspected of murdering two Orcs, an Argonian, and three Imperials while brutilizing Vivec. The are held in the Supreme Ministry Court, so I could not get in to find out what's happening. But I did get a chance to speak with investigator Gareth Menos.
"The charges are high and so is the evidence against them," Gareth says. "But they have a strong defense and might make it out of this unscathed. I just want to catch who did this and lock 'em up."

ASH MONSTERS ATTACK AGAIN!

A few weeks ago, the city of Khuul was mysteriously charged by a group of Ash Ghouls and Slaves. These mischevious forces seem to have attacked once more.

The Chief of Silt Strider Transport in Gnisis, Galene Merevil, told us yesterday that the Silt Caravan that was supposed to enter the town the day before yesterday has gone missing. He fears the worst.

In the past, a lot of merchant caravans have gone missing in the Ashlands, and usually the Silt corpses are later found in the ash deserts, full of black ashlander arrows. The local Ashlander Wise Woman however claims that the Tribes have nothing to do with it. "We are not to blame," she says, looking rather irritated. "In case of our attacks there has always been a Silt corpse to be found. This time there's none. How can your authorities be so blind?"

"This is absurd!" exclaims the investigating Legion Champion Larius Vvarro. "The Ash Monsters do not attack merchant caravans. They have no need for our merchandise. It's no more than a silly rumor." At the same time, he agrees that the missing caravan has left no trace of it and that it IS different from the Ashlander activity. "I am not arresting anyone right now," he says. "All citizens should remain calm, for everything is under control. There is no need to panic. Still we advise people of the Northern cities not to travel on Silts or on foot. The Imperial Legion is looking into this matter."

Ships disappearing all over

Today, it was reported that for the past tenday, supply ships going to and coming from the mainland and Solstheim have stopped. There are also reports of sailors and fisherman boats going out and not coming back. Even travel boats on the eastern coast Vvardenfell have begun missing.
"I was just standing there," says a Dunmer man with his family. "JUst waiting for the boat to arrive so I could get passage to Molag Mar. But it never came and I reported it to the authorities."
"The island is cursed." stated Redguard official Weslie Baerth. "We have unsolved murders, Ahslander attacks, and now this."
Indeed, a crisis on Vvardenfell has developed and, hopefully, will soon pass.
