Jaraxle stood, looking down at the mage. "And yet there are men who will lie to the end. Either because they have been trained to do so, or because that is all they know. But now, we know to be more cautious on our journey." Cleaning off his retrieved daggers, Jaraxle slipped them back into the hidden pouch up his sleeve.

Shadow put his sword back into its sheath. "Maybe we should camp here for tonight and move on in the morning," he said, touching his left shoulder that still did hurt... "What do you say Cara?"

cara looked around. "yup," she said. "we'll continue our journey when sun rises. but now we must recover some strenght." she took her bow and patted Corkeya on her head. "go to sleep, jaraxle, and shadow! but I do not want to sleep, I better go and explore the land, maybe I'll find something useful." she waved to the others and run ro the wilderness.

As Shadow layed down, Jaraxle began to climb a tree. "I will keep first watch. I will wake you when I can stay awake no longer." Climbing into the dense foliage, Jaraxle layed his bow across his lap and sttled on a high branch overlooking the campsite.

cara was just looking for creatures to defeat, when Corkeya suddenly screamed. cara looked around, ready to attack, but she didn't see anything. "corkeya, what is it? did you see anything?" corkeya looked at her eyes, just like saying something,... "nevermind," mumbled cara. =================== "okay. I think we should go back to the camp no, corkeya, come on! lets go!" said cara and looked at the sky; it was still dark outside. "but sun will rise in the minute, so we better..."
someone screamed. "corkeya?" cara looked around, but corkeya was gone! "corkeya, corkeya!!... CORKEYAAAA...!" corkeya was gone. "how?! there were nothing! and corkeya would never leave me..." the sun was rising. cara went back to the camp.

Seeing Cara return, Jaraxle lept out of the tree. "So the great huntress returns." he said. Seeing her alone, he raised an eyebrow. "Where is that miseraable guar of yours?"

Shadow pushed himself up and looked around sleepily. "What the..." He got up and saw that their camp was empty. He heard talking noises from distance and headed that way with his sword drawn.
But he only saw Jaraxle and Cara chatting in the dark. He put his sword back to its sheath. "What is going on?" he asked.

cara looked at Shadow and then at Jaraxle and said: "I'm afraid that we lost one of our companions..." cara sniffed quietly. "I think we lost Corkeya."

Shadow looked astonished. "How did that happen?" he asked. "Guars can protect themselves against wild animals... There is someone out there... I think we should return to the campfire, maybe it will drive away who ever there is. There's nothing we can do for Corkeya now. We'll search for her in the morning when it's lighter."

Jaraxle shook his head. "The campfire is not a good idea. Whoever it is will come to the fire to watch whoever started it. I suggest we spread out and keep hidden and silent."

cara sniffed again. she said: "yes, we better go back to the camp, or we'll dissapear too as Corkeya..." when they reached to the camp, cara sat down and explained to her companions, what happened. "I just looked for some creatures to defeat, when Corkeya suddenly screamed. I turned around and I didn't see anything... And when I wanted to come back to the camp, she screamed again, but when I turned around, Corkeya was gone! just no marks about her and when I called her, she didn't answer... I think something evil is awoke... and we should be very careful if we don't want to dissapear too that way." she stopped and looked at the sky. sun was rising. cara took her water skin and drank some water. "I think we should move on soon, it's getting lighter."

Jaraxle shook his head. "Before we move, we must scout the area. See if we can find any clues to our pursuer and what he or she wants."

"Let me handle this," said Shadow. "I have learned tracking." He went away from the camp, carefully observing the ground. He spotted two tracks heading away from the camp: a human's footprints, Cara's definently, and Guar's tracks wich surely belonged to Corkeya. Then the two tracks of prints separated. Shadow followed Corkeya. He came to a small hilltop. Here the Guar's tracks disappeared, but he saw a great deal of mess around - broken branches, fallen leafs, and the ground at this point was full of strange footprints.
He called his friends so they could see this as well.

"W-wha' is it, Shadow? I mean, WHO is it? Corkeya couldn't just dissapear, there were something... But no... I didn't see anything there... so how is this possible? Was it flying, this creature? Or was it just an evil power?" Cara rised an eyebrow and shook her head. "Mumm... Maybe you should explain it to us too, Shadow..." mumbled Cara and she seemed to be very confused.

"I do not know what it was," said Shadow. "I was hoping maybe you or Jaraxle could tell me. I have never seen such tracks before. But it was not flying - the prints are too big for that. The wings of this thing should have been at least 12 meters long. So it was probably not flying... Otherwise I have no idea."
